Timber, WPC or ceramic — what suits what
Timber is warm underfoot and ages visibly; without regular care it turns grey, which some people want. WPC needs almost no maintenance but heats up more in full sun. Porcelain stoneware is practically indestructible, colour-stable and available slip-resistant, but demands a particularly exact base, because large formats cannot be nudged into line afterwards. We show all three as samples in the garden rather than in a catalogue — colour behaves completely differently outdoors.
A screen lasts exactly as long as its posts
The panels are rarely the problem — the posts are. Set too shallow, frost lifts them over the years and the fence stands crooked. So we concrete them in below the frost line, in this region typically some 80 centimetres deep, and align them in one run. Before work starts we clarify the boundary distance with you: Hesse has its own rules, and a fence that has to be moved costs more than a conversation beforehand.

Frequently asked questions
Can the terrace butt right up to the house wall?
It joins the wall but not tightly: a gap stays between the surface and the façade, and the surface falls away from the house. Otherwise water stands against the wall — the most common cause of damp damage at plinth level.
How much care does a timber terrace need?
Clean once a year, and if you want to keep the original tone, re-oil in the same round. Without oil the surface greys evenly — that is not damage but a matter of taste.
